Mary Announces Her Christmas Card Competition Winner
The winner of the Christmas card competition, organised by Mary, was announced on the 6th December as Georgie, at a prize giving ceremony at Grangehurst Primary School in Longford. All the competition’s participants received a certificate, presented by Mary and the card’s sponsors, The Belgrade Theatre and James Kempston, CEO of NP Aerospace.
The runners-up were Saanvi Saanvi and Yusuf Jabarkhail from Little Heath Primary School, both in Year 5, and Ekamdeep in Year 6 at Grangehurst Primary School. Mary particularly enjoyed the minions which appeared on Saanvi Saanvi’s entry! The Christmas cards, featuring all four designs, will be sent to over 1,000 recipients across the country and around the world.
The Belgrade Theatre donated prizes of pantomime tickets, so that Mary can join the children on Saturday 7th December to see The Belgrade’s production of Dick Whittington, their fastest selling pantomime to date.
Mary said, “It was hard to choose a winner from so many creative entries, and I’d like to thank every pupil who participated, and the teachers for encouraging the children to enter. I would also like to thank the sponsors of my card, NP Aerospace, and The Belgrade Theatre for their kind donations. I’d like to wish all pupils and teachers in Coventry a very Merry Christmas.”
